What makes a miniature dachshund a miniature? Well, to qualify as a mini they have to be 11 pounds or smaller and can only be 5 to 7 inches in height. Our adult Dachshunds range from 7 to 12 pounds. This is a very high spirited and tenacious breed. They are also known for being very lovable and loyal. These pups may be small but they do not let their size stop them from running and playing all day long. These long, small, short dogs make for great cuddle buddies and perfect running partners. It won't take long to fall in love with this spunky breed.
